Before being considered for a fellowship, candidates must apply for admission to the Graduate Business programs through the Graduate Admissions office.  Provisional fellowships may be awarded upon approval of the Soderquist Center and the Director of Graduate Business Studies.  Full award of a fellowship will not take place until all admission requirements have been met with the JBU Graduate & Professional Studies Office.

Brock Erdman

Brock graduated from John Brown University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology and a minor in both Leadership Management and Business Administration. He completed his business internship at KDI Elements in Palm Desert, CA, whose goal is to beautify the desert with residential and commercial surface enhancements. After he graduated, Brock worked at John Brown University as an Admissions Counselor for two years before joining the Soderquist Center team. During Brock’s time at JBU, he was the captain of the rugby team, as well as a Resident Assistant for two years. He also went on two mission trips to Northern Ireland and one study abroad trip to Scotland and England. Brock has continued his love of traveling abroad with a trip in June 2010, when he and his wife, Sarah, traveled for three weeks to seven different countries in Europe. Brock is attending graduate school at John Brown University where he will receive his Master’s of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis Leadership and Ethics. Brock currently serves as a Project Coordinator at the Soderquist Center, working with customers and coordinating the Milestone program. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, basketball, rugby, hunting, fishing, eating great food, and watching movies with his wife.



Pablo Herrera

Pablo graduated from John Brown University, summa cum laude in May 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media and an Associate Degree in Broadcasting. Pablo started his college experience as the first Latin American Presidential Scholar at JBU and served with leadership roles as a Resident Assistant and Assistant Resident Director his junior and senior year. He was chosen to travel with the Digital Media Mission/Internship team to Spain and Morocco as a designer and translator. After college, Pablo returned to his home country, Costa Rica, and started a multimedia studio called Fusion1980, which he still manages. He also completed a one-year Bible school program with Torchbearers International and was involved in social projects and mission teams throughout Costa Rica. He also participated with mission teams and as a translator in Costa Rica, Cuba, and Orlando, Florida. At the Soderquist Center, he works as a Project Coordinator specializing in website and social media content, traffic analysis, multimedia production and publishing content in various communication channels. Away from the office, Pablo enjoys intercultural experiences, soccer, traveling, playing classical guitar and cooking.



Ben Pearson

Ben graduated magna cum laude in 2009 from Corban University in Salem, Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies. While at Corban University, Ben served as a Resident Assistant, Dean of Admissions for the Trojan Fellowship, as President of the outdoor and environmental student organization Westrek, and as a member of the Associated Student Body Executive Board as Student Organizations Coordinator. He also participated in Cross Country and played an active role in implementing a recycling program at Corban University. Ben had the opportunity to serve in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina, and as a student ministries intern working with low-income students. His senior year, Ben was one of two students selected to speak before the entire student body. Currently, Ben works at the Soderquist Center as a Project Coordinator specializing in experiential learning, including heavy involvement with BaseCamp, the adventure-based challenge course. In his free time Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, reading, playing guitar, and almost any outdoor activity.



Stephanie Brown

Stephanie graduated from John Brown University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a minor in Leadership Studies. During her time at John Brown she was actively involved in the school’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) chapter. She served as Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, the Northwest Arkansas High School Leadership Conference Project Leader, and was a member of the presentation team that placed 4th at the national SIFE competition. Stephanie also spent time volunteering at the local pregnancy center, and studied abroad in Germany. Before coming to the Soderquist Center, Stephanie interned at J.B. Hunt Transport, one the nation’s largest transportation logistics companies where she was part of a team spearheading a new customer service unit. Stephanie currently serves as a Project Coordinator coordinating logistics for a variety of programs. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and going to Razorback games. Go Hogs!

Bryan graduated from John Brown University in 2011 with a Bachelor or Science in Business Administration. During his time at John Brown University he completed his internship at the Soderquist Center in the area of Business Development. He was also actively involved in JBU’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) program where he served as a Project Leader for the “ADVANCE Guatemala: Peronia” project, which is designed to help wives of ex-gang members in Guatemala start their own business. During his four years at JBU Bryan also worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement, Inc. as a Customer Service Associate. Bryan currently serves as the Project Coordinator where he coordinates logistics for several customer events and supports internal processes and strategic processes for the Center. In his free time he enjoys skiing, working out, traveling with his wife, and watching Razorback football.

Drew graduated Cum Laude from John Brown University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and minors in Mathematics and Leadership Studies. Then, in 2011, he graduated from Colorado State University with a Masters of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering. While at John Brown University, he was a Resident Assistant during his senior year, worked in admissions for three years, and was involved in the Leaders Scholars Institute. During summers, Drew worked for different organizations all over North America. He has led house building mission trips in Juarez, Mexico, led kitchen operations at Young Life camps in upstate New York and British Columbia, and interned as an engineer at American Airlines. At the Soderquist Center, Drew serves as a project coordinator helping plan and coordinate events. Currently he is enrolled in the Masters of Business Administration program at John Brown University, with a specialty in International Business. When not busy with school or work, Drew enjoys mountain biking, skiing, playing the piano, cooking, and traveling.

Zac graduated magna cum laude from John Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a minor in Leadership Studies, and the Outstanding Christian Business Leadership Award. As an undergraduate student, he served as a Director of the Leader Scholars Institute for three years where he collaborated to design and deliver a leadership program for an interdisciplinary community of students. Zac seized the opportunity to study in Belfast, Northern Ireland for a semester, intern at McDonald’s, serve as a counselor at a Christian athletics camp, and co-create a business plan called Craftistas. His Craftistas team advanced to win 2nd place at the Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup business plan competition in Little Rock, Arkansas and 1st place overall at the Donald W. Reynolds Tri-State Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada. Currently, he is a Project Coordinator at The Soderquist Center and supports JBU’s nationally recognized chapter of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE). Zac also enjoys everything basketball, hiking in the mountains, traveling, SCUBA diving, music, and spending time with his fiancé.
